Vehicle Shipping FAQ
Everything UK shippers ask about international vehicle shipping — answered by our team.
How much does it cost to ship a car from the UK?
Costs depend on method, destination and vehicle. RoRo to Dubai typically runs £900–£1,400; container to Australia £2,200–£3,500. Request an instant fixed-price quote for an exact figure.
How long does international vehicle shipping take?
Transit times range from 7 days (UK to Spain) to 40–48 days (UK to New Zealand). Most major routes complete in 14–28 days.
RoRo vs container — which should I choose?
RoRo is cheapest for running vehicles. Container offers maximum security and allows personal effects — ideal for luxury, classic and non-running cars.
Is my vehicle insured during shipping?
All-risks marine insurance is available from 1.5% of declared value, covering transit from UK collection to destination delivery.
What documents do I need?
Original V5 logbook, valid photo ID, proof of address and a signed export declaration. We handle all paperwork in-house.
Can you collect my car from anywhere in the UK?
Yes — we offer UK-wide collection from homes, dealerships, auctions and storage facilities by covered transporter or driver.
Can I ship a non-running vehicle?
Yes, via container or flat-rack. Non-runners cannot be shipped on RoRo.
Do I pay UK VAT when exporting?
Exports outside the UK are zero-rated for VAT. Destination import duty and taxes are payable on arrival.
Can personal effects be shipped inside the vehicle?
Only when shipping by container, and subject to destination customs rules. RoRo shipments must be emptied.
